Splitska

Located in a deep and relatively steep cove, SPLITSKA reminds of a swan gazing into its own reflection in the water. This place of exceptional beauty exudes an almost aristocratic serenity, which is evidenced by the Cerinic family mansion built in the 16th century, after the foundation in the 13th century when the pirates from Omis destroyed it. Splitska is the ideal destination for those fond of walks in the nature: a 45 minute walk (3 km uphill) to Škrip, 30 minute walk to Postire, and 30 minutes more to Dol.

It s located 8 km east from Supetar where you can even go by foot near the sea side. In the ancient time there was in a port inSplitska, from which the fmous Brac's stone was transported for the construction of the Diocletian's palace in Split. Today you can see in the stone-quarry Rasohe, near Splitska, a relief of Heracles, which probably has been made by Slaves, who worked in the quarry.
The town features three restaurants, a cafe and a store.
